Yoel Amaya appointed as new president of the Caracas Metro

The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, appointed mechanical engineer Yoel Amaya as the new president of the Caracas Metro, through Decree number 5,383 published in the Official Gazette number 43,413.
The new head of the capital's mass transportation company is a graduate of the Central University of Venezuela (UCV) and is a member of the Presidential Commission for the comprehensive recovery of this university, the oldest and most emblematic in the country.
The appointment comes after the death of the former president of the Caracas Metro, Carlos Segundo Silva Amarista, during the earthquakes recorded in the country on June 24.
