Youth volunteering is deployed at strategic points in La Guaira to treat earthquake victims

More than 200 young volunteers are permanently deployed in the state of La Guaira, to provide comprehensive care to families affected by the double seismic event that occurred last Thursday, June 24.

Through a solid organization, youth have taken on operational, logistical and support tasks for those affected, which are located in temporary camps and Care Centers for Victims and Families; in the José María Vargas Sports Center and Plaza Bolívar in Catia La Mar.

According to a press release, youth brigades coordinate the distribution of food; they support the internal organization of shelters, they assist the victims; in addition, they manage a centralized database in real time to register and identify missing persons, channel search requests, monitor citizens admitted to hospitals and register those who have been rescued from the rubble.

Likewise, in the shelter that is in the Bolivarian National School 10 de Marzo, they serve people who are waiting for the technical evaluation of their homes.
