A total of 150 dental prostheses were delivered free of charge to older adults at the headquarters of the Sonrisa Mission in El Algodonal, Caracas.
The day, according to a press release from the Ministry of Health, was attended by Georgina Siso, president of the Smile Mission. Sharing his emotion, Siso highlighted the significance of these actions: “It fills me with deep joy and pride to see how we continue to bring back the smile to our grandparents and grandmothers of the Fatherland. Each dental prosthesis delivered not only represents aesthetic well-being, but also dignity, love and social justice.”
The day, according to the text, is a clear example of the sustained commitment to ensure that oral health is a universal and free right in Venezuela.
Each dental prosthesis delivered not only allows beneficiaries to fully enjoy their meals and express themselves more safely, but it also restores a fundamental part of their identity and social connection.
