16,686 victims receive care in the 87 transitional camps

A total of 16,686 people affected by the earthquakes of last June 24 are being treated in 87 temporary camps set up in the city of Caracas and the states of La Guaira and Miranda, said the sectoral vice-president of Social and Territorial Socialism, Héctor Rodríguez.

According to a post on his Telegram channel, Rodríguez explained that these centers have a capacity to serve 22,477 people. He explained that in La Guaira alone, there are 26 camps with 10,469 victims, six of them in the process of being expanded. In addition, in Caracas there are 39 temporary camps that housed 5 thousand 46 people and 22 from Miranda with 1,171 refugees.
