President Rodríguez highlights growth of more than 5% in animal production in Venezuela

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, took a tour of a roasting factory for the coffee sector in the sector in the Sucre municipality of Miranda state, where she specified that agricultural economic growth reached 5% this year, while vegetable production increased 2.26% and animal production, 5.14%.

He also urged Venezuelan youth to be part of the national productive unit in agri-food matters not only in livestock but also in terms of fishing.

In this regard, he referred to the agreement signed with Suriname to strengthen the growth of the fishing sector through strategic cooperation between the two nations.

In a territorial deployment focused on strengthening organized Popular Power and economic sovereignty, the president visited the communal spaces of Caucagüita, in the state of Miranda.

The president was accompanied by the Minister for Youth, Sergio Lotartaro; the Minister of Industries and National Trade, Luis Villegas; and other officials.

The president (E) highlighted efforts to strengthen Venezuela's model, which consists of meeting the needs of the people and continuing to move forward.

Endogenous Center “Trade for Life”

The Araguaney Commune, made up of seven communal councils and 15 condominium councils, directly serves 2,272 families, equivalent to 6,723 inhabitants, where 60% of the population is made up of older adults.

During the productive day, the community showed its advances in the Endogenous Center “Trade for Life”, which promotes communal industrialization through:

Community Depository: Space that processes meat from the Apure state. It is part of a circuit of 10 spaces located between Caracas and Miranda that distribute 120 thousand kilos of meat per month.

Bodega Comunal: Network that already has more than 5 thousand establishments in 16 states of the country.

Water Treatment Plant and Community Pharmacy: Active infrastructures for the well-being of the area.

Local ventures: Projects for the printing of flannels, sublimation, cleaning products and territorial planting of corn.

At the same time, the Head of State in charge inspected the socio-productive project for raising laying hens, guided by young people in a space that houses more than 200 hens with a monthly production of 1,800 eggs intended for communal self-sufficiency, also training 15 young people from the area.

This initiative is part of the 400 model projects approved for the youth sector and has the technical support of the Ministry of People's Power for Youth.
