The Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples
of Our America - Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP) condemned the
attempt to consolidate the theft of the Venezuelan plane from the Southern Air Transport Company (EMTRASUR), following the decision of an Argentine judge to hand over the
aircraft to the United States (USA).
In a statement, released this Thursday in its X account
, the regional integration organization highlighted that these actions
demonstrate that the Argentine authorities “do not even keep the forms of
subservience to US imperialism.”
Below is the full text of the document:
The member states of the Bolivarian Alliance for the
Peoples of Our America Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA — TCP) strongly
condemn the order of a judicial authority in the
Argentine Republic that attempts to steal the Boeing 747 aircraft, owned by the Aerocargo del Sur Transportation Company (EMTRASUR), a subsidiary of
the Venezuelan airline
CONVIASA, hijacked in that country in 2022.
The illegal detention and the confiscation order - consequences of
the unilateral coercive measures imposed by the
United States government that violate the sovereignty of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela
and violate the fundamental principles of the Charter of the United Nations and International
Law - demonstrate that even the forms of subservience to US imperialism are not preserved.
The ALBA-TCP once again joins the demands of the people and the Government
of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and supports the
legal, diplomatic and political actions taken by the Venezuelan Government to secure its assets.
