The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela,
Delcy Rodríguez, announced that the José Antonio Abreu University of Music
will have 18 centers throughout the country.
“Today in Venezuela, music is a right (...) And more than
1,300,000 boys and girls are in the Simon Bolivar Orchestra System. This
university, which today elevates technical careers to degrees in execution, in
composition, in lottery, opens its doors with its 18 centers nationwide
for the meeting,” said the president during the opening ceremony of this house
of studies, in Caracas.
He stressed that it will be a space so that, based on diversity, “we live together,
so that we understand each other in a single melody (...) we have a country in a
social harmony that allows us to build great spaces for
economic recovery, for political stability in the concept of Bolivar in Angostura”.
