Andrés Chaparro won the Rookie of the Year title for the 2023-2024 season of
the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP).
The announcement was made by the LVBP through its Social Networks.
Chaparro, who wore the uniform of Águilas del Zulia,
won the award with 149 points, after beating Carlos Rodríguez de Navegantes del Magallanes by one
point with 148 votes and Ronald Acuña Jr.
of Tiburones de La
Guaira with 112.
This season, the Rookie played 35 games, shot 43 hits, hit five home runs, stole 26 bases and drove in 16 runs and scored 19 runs.
