This Wednesday, April 08, the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, asserted that the same people who at the time staged a coup d'etat against Commander Hugo Chávez, “are the same people who today continue to promote violence in this country.”
“In that Ayacucho Hall (in the Miraflores Palace), they set up a coven that they say, a party and they shouted: Democracy, democracy, let everything be over, for God's sake and those were days followed by violence in the street,” he recalled.
During his Con El Mazo Dando program, on broadcast number 566, he stated that “you know them and they know who they are (...) they broke the screen (of the television) in half”.
“We know them, they were bad to a people, they were bad to a people, because Hugo Chávez was an extraordinary human being,” he said.
Cabello emphasized that Commander Hugo Chávez was a President elected by the Venezuelan people, “the sin that Chávez committed for the oligarchy that governed this country for 40 years was to give the rights to that people, which they had never given him. That's why they gave him a coup d'etat.”
He also stressed that “there is nothing more tempting for treason than power, longtime friends of Commander Hugo Chávez, betrayed him, comrades in the cabinet, betrayed him.”
Cabello also argued that extremists on the right wing “have always been irresponsible because they don't have balls.”
