The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, invited us to celebrate “the rescue of democracy and Commander Hugo Rafael Chávez next Monday, April 13.”
This Saturday, April 11, from Cotiza he stated that “April 11, 2002 was a blow to democracy (...) Today we are commemorating 24 years since that fateful April 11 in 2002, when they tried to give a boost to democracy”.
“Today is a day not to forget and we have said that history must be a living memory so that peoples can consolidate their path of self-determination, freedom and independence (...) There's the story. As we remember that date, we know where we come from and, therefore, that fascism and extremism cannot be an option for Venezuela; and since we know where we come from, we build the present, to guarantee the future.”
