With the objective of strengthening cultural identity and supporting emerging talent in the coastal area, the María del Carmen Lartigues Sebastiana Music House was inaugurated in the Cata parish, Ocumare municipality on the Gold Coast of the state of Aragua.
The opening ceremony, according to a press release, was led by the governor of Aragua, Johana Sánchez, together with the Minister of University Education, Ana María Sanjuán and the mayor Wilmer Leal, who carried out the ribbon cutting and an inspection tour of the spaces of the new campus.
During the visit, the delegation noted the comprehensive conditioning of the classrooms, as well as the provision of pedagogical supplies and tools necessary for the learning and artistic development of coastal youth.
This new infrastructure was created as a meeting point for musical education, aimed at rescuing the region's indigenous manifestations and providing alternatives for comprehensive education, recreation and healthy leisure for children and young people in the Cata community.
