According to the indicators of the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV), the country registered inflation of only 2.4% during the month of December 2023, the lowest since 2013.
According to the BCV report, this figure for the month of December last year is only surpassed by the 2.2% recorded in December 2013. The figure becomes a record for the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the last 10 years. The figure marks a positive milestone, over the course of a decade permeated by destabilizing actions, shortages and the validity of Unilateral Coercive Measures (MCU) by the United States that only sought to suffocate the Venezuelan people.
It should be noted that in order to know and investigate the factors that affect the country's inflation index, the BCV, for some years, has intensified its efforts
to investigate in more detail those empirical regularities that account for the growth
of the price level and the empirical investigations that have been carried out try to apply advanced estimation techniques according to the development of economometry.
