The Bolivarian Government immediately activated a comprehensive team for the protection of children and adolescents in the regions affected by the earthquakes that occurred in the national territory last Wednesday.

This was reported by the Minister of Popular Power for Women and Gender Equality, Yelitze Santaella, who explained that this human deployment seeks to guarantee the safety of children in an articulated way between the institutions of the Venezuelan State and the committees of the social welfare system.

In the same way, he announced that this multidisciplinary contingent is carrying out face-to-face work in the most affected states such as La Guaira, Caracas and Miranda.

He also specified that in these localities, officials work together with each of the teams that make up the civil protection and social assistance system, with the firm purpose of safeguarding physical integrity and providing emotional support to the child and adolescent population in shelters.

In addition, he stressed that the National Executive coordinated the entire plan of action with the United Nations humanitarian system.

This strategic international alliance strengthens logistical and technical resources in the field to ensure the protection of the fundamental rights of minors, in addition to expediting timely assistance to restore peace of mind to Venezuelan homes.
