From the Army Command Post in Caraballeda, La Guaira state, the Minister of Popular Power for Science and Technology, Gabriela Jiménez, announced the deployment of the Geographic Information System, a tool designed to organize actions in the sectors affected by the earthquakes of June 24.
Jiménez explained that this platform allows mobilized machinery, search and rescue teams and spaces intended to protect families to be located in real time, which facilitates the coordination of food, medicines and essential supplies in communities. “This system allows us to act with precision and ensure that each resource reaches the place where it is really needed,” said the minister.
He also indicated that training was provided to the personnel assigned to the command post to ensure the operation of the system on the axis from Caraballeda to Los Caracas-Naiguatá, strengthening the capacity to respond to the effects recorded.
Jiménez added that, following the guidance of the president in charge Delcy Rodríguez, the technical and scientific team of the Ministry of Science and Technology continues to be permanently deployed to accompany care and reconstruction efforts, in a context where the authorities maintain special operations to assess damage, reinforce security and restore services in coastal areas from L to Guaira.
