Bolivarian Government rehabilitates 28 schools in Anzoátegui for the new school year

A total of 28 educational institutions in the state of Anzoátegui are being rehabilitated and suitable to receive students in the new 2026-2027 school year, said the Minister of Education, Héctor Rodríguez, during an inspection of the Diego Bautista Urbaneja School, in Lechería.
“This is one of the 28 schools out of 1,500 that are recovering across the country, 500 distributed in all municipalities and 1,000 that are concentrated on those affected by the earthquakes of June 24,” the minister explained.
Rodríguez reported that on Wednesday 9th, education workers returned to their schools “to see how they are doing, to clean and prepare them.” In addition, according to a press release, he explained that a training process is being developed for teachers in Natural Sciences, Mathematics, History, Language, and the seismic area.
“This year we have included in the school calendar a seismic simulation in schools in the country and we are providing tools so that our teachers and teachers, when the children arrive, can address this issue and all the socio-emotional dimension that it brings,” he said.
During the activity, he recalled that on Monday, September 14, more than 6 million children and adolescents will return to the classrooms to start the new school year.
