The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, received this Tuesday at the Miraflores Palace the regional director of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), Michelle Muschett.

The bilateral meeting focused on addressing the Sustainable Development Goals and reviewing the preliminary results of the evaluation report following the seismic events of the month of June.

Muschett has been visiting the country from last 13th to this Wednesday, September 16th, with the objective of learning about the actions that UNDP has been supporting in the context of post-seismic response and recovery, as well as strengthening cooperation with the Bolivarian Government within the framework of sustainable development goals, but also participating in the official event to deliver the preliminary results of the post-earthquake needs assessment process disaster.

After the conclusion and national validation of UNDP, a phase will begin aimed at formulating the resilient recovery framework that will allow the technical findings of the Program to be translated into a strategic, operational and financial road map for recovery and reconstruction fully aligned with national priorities and with the Venezuela Renace Plan.
