Buenos Aires and other Argentine provinces under orange alert due to storms

Argentina's National Weather Service (SMN) reported that the provinces of Rio Negro, La Pampa and Buenos Aires have orange storm alerts for this Thursday.

“Possible meteorological phenomena dangerous to society, life, property and the environment,” SMN warned residents of these areas.

For their part, San Luis, Mendoza and Chubut are under yellow alert, according to what was published by the web portal La Nación.

In this regard, the SMN recommended that the population “stay in closed buildings such as houses, schools or buildings, stay away from electrical appliances and avoid using cable phones, stay inside a vehicle if you are traveling, avoid driving on flooded or affected streets, cut off the electricity supply if there is a risk of water entering the house”.
