The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, denounced this Monday a hate campaign promoted by the extreme right against Venezuelan players and former players who participated in the Monumental Baseball League, which was held over the weekend in Caracas.
At the press conference of the red awning, Cabello highlighted the reality of Venezuela, which is manifested in the street. “Some of those players who came had spoken ill of the situation in Venezuela before (...) and they arrived and when they saw the street they were surprised. There are others who have always been very supportive of Venezuela and know what is happening here.”
He stressed that “whoever wants to come to the Bolivarian nation and what is going to come out is surprised, if it comes to your mind that Venezuela is a disaster, you are surprised” on the contrary.
Cabello criticized that “now the hated res have started a campaign against the Venezuelan players who were there. They don't know how to differentiate (...) a little while ago they grabbed her against Miguel Cabrera, now they have her against Omar Vizquel and against everyone who was there. Respect what is human, respect that people go out and have fun,” he urged.
