Diosdado Cabello: 89 days after the earthquakes, we are still at the side of the people

This Monday, September 21, the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, reaffirmed that, 89 days after the earthquakes in the country, the Bolivarian Government continues to be deployed in the affected areas and provides care to the people.

“Today, 89 days after the earthquakes, we have not left the affected sites. There we are, serving people,” Cabello said during the PSUV press conference.

He stressed that the work of accompaniment provided to families in the temporary camps by the officers of the People's Guard continues in this process of care and recovery.

In that sense, he emphasized that families are cared for “with love, with affection, like brothers, in solidarity, without differences of any kind, making us part of the situation they have, but that only happens, I will tell you, in Venezuela and in Revolution, because if the Fourth Republic were to govern here, forget about it.”

In this regard, Cabello recalled how the governments of the Fourth Republic, faced with natural disasters, did not provide attention to the People.

“Remember, around this time in September (...) back in Aragua, when the rains in El Limón, on the Ocumare road (...) in the year 87, in the month of September. When did they go there? To serve people. And who were they and how were they? And how long did they give these people attention ? 1,500 people that no one knows, at least 1,500 dead, who never found them or knew about them, nor did anyone report them, nor did anyone assume anything. Three months later, we are there and we will always continue with our people, helping, supporting them,” he said.
