Cabello highlights the strength of relations with Brazil and the vocation for peace in the region

During the press conference of the National Directorate of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), held this Monday, the organization's general secretary, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, celebrated recent political events in the neighboring country. In this regard, he stated that “we are very happy with the People of Brazil” and stated that “there they stopped fascism with votes”.

Cabello emphasized the continuity of bilateral ties between the two nations. On this point, he argued that “we have always had relations with Brazil, at the worst moment a channel has always been opened”, reiterating that “Venezuela has always been willing to reach out to friends” and assuring that no one will disturb the peace of the continent.

In addition, the spokesperson for the political group reflected on the maturity of the national participatory process in the face of extremist positions. The Secretary General highlighted the democratic commitment of citizens, stating that “for a long time we have been on the path of allowing the Venezuelan people to counterbalance the haters.”

The general secretary of the PSUV confirmed the prevalence of values of coexistence in the country over violent sectors. Cabello concluded his statements by stating that “we know that hate has a lot of strength, but the love that a people has will have more”.
