This Monday, during the press conference of the National Directorate of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), led by the general secretary of the red awning, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, reaffirmed its full support for the institutional actions carried out by the Legislative Branch for the integration and renewal of the authorities of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ).
When addressing the legitimacy of the Venezuelan Parliament, Cabello highlighted the democratic solvency of the revolutionary caucus, asserting that “we are very respectful; here are some comrades from the National Assembly (AN) included, we have a majority and in good line, none of these deputies were elected cheating or anything, all these Chavism deputies earned their position and their responsibility in elections.”
The general secretary of the PSUV criticized the lack of political coherence of the opposition sectors in the face of democratic channels, pointing out that “the opposition depends on how you feel in the mood: one day they call elections and another day they say that you should not vote. There is no political leadership there!”
Regarding the methodological route within the Legislative Branch, the organization's spokesperson pointed out that “we are very respectful of the decisions taken by the AN, we accompany them by that majority, but it is a matter that depends on the National Assembly for the formation of the Nominations Committee, which on other occasions has worked without any kind of problem”.
In addition, Cabello confirmed that the process will be concluded through the corresponding vote in the legislative chamber, which he defined as “the only existing elected National Assembly, chaired by Jorge Rodríguez”, in strict accordance with the laws of the Republic.
