The first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, indicated that “the mafias that create chaos in Ecuador are organizations dedicated to drugs that fled Colombia.”

“Currently, the Government of President Gustavo Petro is operating in Colombia and that is why mafias dedicated to drug trafficking have found themselves in need of moving, of fleeing. Many of these Colombian mafias have gone to Ecuador and are the ones that are operating right now with the riots in that country. These riots have been organized by drug mafias that have gone to Ecuador with permissive governments and now the issue explodes,” he said.

He asked to be alert to these actions, which could be part of the actions that the United States uses to destabilize the Government in the region.

“You have to be on the fly. The U.S. government always tests methods to apply them,” he said.
