CANTV expands connectivity in Los Llanos with the installation of more than 43 thousand optical ports

The modernization of the CANTV telecommunications network in the states of Apure, Barinas, Cojedes, Guárico and Portuguesa is progressing with the construction of around 43,000 optical ports, an infrastructure that allows progressively expanding access to Aba Ultra, Aba TV GO and IP Telephony services.

In this sense, Barinas has 20,685 optical ports for connecting users in Alto Barinas, Centro and Socopó, while Guárico has more than 9,800 distributed between San Juan de los Morros, San Francisco de Tiznado, Easter Valley and Tucupido.

In Apure, CANTV has more than 7,000 optical ports between San Fernando and Elorza. Portuguesa has nearly 2,500 in Acarigua and Guanare, and Cojedes has more than 2,200 in San Carlos and Tinaquillo.

As part of this process, according to a press release from the company, technical personnel remain deployed in the different territories to install the necessary network elements to end users and facilitate the purchase of ONT equipment for the provision of services using GPON technology.
