Capital District Government oversees and delivers comprehensive care to affected families in El Junquito

After carrying out an exhaustive evaluation of OP12 urban planning following the earthquakes recorded on June 24, the head of Government of the Capital District, Nahum Fernández, deployed a multidisciplinary team to the El Junquito parish to address the emergency and restore connectivity in the area.

During the inspection, Fernández verified the magnitude of the impact, personally verifying the response efforts carried out with the support of the People's Power.

He detailed the complexity of the scenario found, where the collapse of an infrastructure interrupted the mobility of the inhabitants of the upper area. “In the territory, we were able to see a complex situation: the collapse of a three-story structure left some 150 families in the upper part of the town completely incommunicado, completely obstructing their access roads,” he explained.

Applying the risk assessment methodology established by the National Executive, crews are making progress in mitigation maneuvers. “Guided by the Traffic Light (Yellow Label) method designed by Vice President Delcy Rodríguez, our crews are already active on site carrying out demolition and heavy cleaning to open a 100% safe path for neighbors,” said the head of government.

Fernández emphasized that care is not limited only to the removal of debris, but that it contemplates a profound social approach to protect vulnerable sectors. “For us, the commitment goes far beyond infrastructure; that's why we are accompanying the local people with comprehensive care in terms of health, nutrition, hydration and social and psychological support,” he said.

Finally, the head of the Capital District reaffirmed the permanence of the government system in the parish until the complete resolution of the contingency. “Our people are the priority and we are not going to abandon anyone!” , he ruled.
