Caracas authorities are preparing for the demolition of 50 structures affected by the earthquakes

In the Libertador municipality of Caracas, 50 controlled demolitions of structures affected by the double earthquake of June 24 are being prepared, Mayor Carmen Meléndez reported.
In statements collected by the newspaper Úlmas Noticias, the burgomaster pointed out that to date there are 167 fronts of work with work to rebuild buildings and spaces in the 22 parishes. “San Bernardino is the parish where the largest number of fronts of work are concentrated, with a total of 29; followed by Sucre with 27, and January 23 with 17,” he said during a meeting at the Mayor's Office's Command Post.
Meléndez said that 16 works have been completed. He added that the recovery of 74 buildings is being carried out and 26 deliveries of materials have been made to communities for the improvement of damaged housing.
The teams are active with reconstructions in La Silsa (Sucre), Asylum (La Pastora) and at kilometer 11 of El Junquito, including care for schools, water, electricity and gas systems, among others
He assured that his office is also servicing educational centers, water, electricity and gas systems.
