Chancellor Gil: Venezuela has witnessed the admirable humanitarian work that Indian doctors have done

The Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, praised this Tuesday the work carried out by the medical team of the Republic of India in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the face of the recent earthquakes recorded in the country.

“On behalf of the Bolivarian Government, we would like to express our sincerest gratitude to all the health professionals of the sister Republic of India, who provided care to Venezuelans affected by the earthquakes at the field hospital installed in La Rinconada, as part of Operation Friendship,” he said.

Foreign Minister Gil stressed that “Venezuela has witnessed the admirable humanitarian work carried out by Indian doctors, carrying out everything from complex surgeries to dental treatments.”

He also thanked the Indian ambassador to the Latin American nation, P.K. Ashok Babu, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi “for their generous support and for extending a helping hand to the Venezuelan people.”
