Chilean firefighter in La Guaira: Holiday buildings were more destroyed than social buildings

A Chilean firefighter deployed in the state of La Guaira, provided details about the conditions found in the Playa Grande sector, where rescue and evaluation work continues after the emergency.

In information reviewed by The Latest News and released by Fire Brigade Chile, rescuer Exequiel Gallardo explained that, in the inspected area, holiday buildings would have been more destroyed than social buildings.

The testimony points to an important difference in the level of structural damage between the two types of buildings, while rescue teams continue to tour areas hit by the disaster.

Gallardo is part of the international team that continues to support the search, evaluation and support efforts of affected families in La Guaira.
