Chris Wright: Energy Agreements Will Bring Prosperity to Venezuela

The signing of energy agreements between Venezuela and the United States will bring peace, prosperity and opportunities to the country, said U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright.

During an event at the Miraflores Palace to sign these agreements, the U.S. official stressed that both governments have been working hand in hand to “improve opportunities for Venezuelans and Americans.”

“We have been working to develop energy resources and to make our nations close friends again. We have been working together night and day to make these transformations possible. This requires respect, knowledge and trust between our teams,” he said.

He also stressed that “the catalyst for transforming Venezuela is energy, the catalyst for improving the quality of life of Americans in the hemisphere is energy, so we want to produce energy production throughout the American continent.”
