The National Telecommunications Commission (CONATEL) certified 25 organizations of users of telecommunications services, thus exceeding the initial goal of 20 certified committees.

The activity is framed in Axis 4 of the National Telecommunications Plan 2025-2031, where organizations function as instruments for the supervision of services, digital training and the proposal of public policies.

In a communication from CONATEL, on his account on the social network Instagram, he noted that the mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez; the general director of CONATEL, Jorge Márquez, and other authorities were present at the event.

In his speech, Meléndez highlighted the “heroic resistance of this city” and thanked the director of CONATEL, who is also the godfather of Caracas, for the advances in telecommunications.

He also called for constant training and resistance against external forces that seek to dominate the Venezuelan people. “Here we are no one's colony,” he said.

For his part, Jorge Márquez, recalled that user committees are the organized voice of the people to demand quality services and exercise their rights, being essential in the fight for technological sovereignty and digital inclusion.

He stressed that these organizations are a key link in telecommunications desks and must be coordinated with communes, communal councils and peace quadrants.

In addition, spokesperson for user organizations, Nelson Sánchez, thanked the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro and Commander Hugo Chávez for these advances, which serve for territorial defense and against cognitive warfare.
