Crews from the Mayor's Office of Mérida carry out comprehensive maintenance in 12 schools

The Mayor's Office of Mérida carried out comprehensive maintenance work in 12 schools for girls and boys who enter the classrooms this Monday for the period 2026-2027.

“The community of the Libertador municipality celebrates the development of 12 educational institutions, which open their doors on September 14, to receive students with beautified spaces ready for training,” the mayor's office reports on its social networks about the work carried out between July and August.

Mayor Nelson Álvarez accompanied the delivery of the works at the “Don Andrés Bello” preschool, Rodríguez Suárez parish, an intervention materialized through a project of the “Virgen de la Candelaria” Commune, approved with the National Popular Consultation method.

In this activity, the local president highlighted the maintenance and restoration work at the Municipal School “July 5, 1811", “María de San José” Preschool, “Aura Marina Saavedra” Basic School, “Domingo Peña” Labor Education Workshop, “Juana de Arcos” Basic School and “Domingo Contreras” Preschool.

Also, at the “María Adela Vielma” Municipal School, “Aristobulo Istúriz” Educational Complex, “Filomena Dávila” Municipal School, “Dr. Armando González Puccini” Educational Unit, “Antonio Justo Silva” School of Entrepreneurship and the “Don Andrés Bello” Preschool.

Álvarez noted that the improvements in these schools are part of a larger agenda with sports and cultural activities so that children and young people have a pleasant and motivating return to the classroom.
