This Tuesday, the President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, called on the international community to accelerate efforts to stop the massacre in the Gaza Strip.
“Cuba condemned in a debate at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) repeated use of veto by the United States in the UN Security Council to prevent an end to Israel's genocide against the Palestinian people,” he said through the social network X.
In this regard, the foreign minister of the Caribbean nation, Bruno Rodríguez, denounced that the veto signifies US complicity in allowing Zionism to perpetuate the genocide in Palestine.
It is worth remembering that since October 7, the constant Israeli bombardment has killed more than 23,000 Palestinians, has displaced 85% of the population, while the international community faces strong obstacles to providing humanitarian aid, according to a release from Prensa Latina.
