We will win!”.
January 2, 2024, marked 129 years since the
expulsion of the English from the Cuyuní River, when they tried to take over the
towns of El Callao, Tumremo and El Dorado, in order to steal wealth and provisions.
The English squad intended to control the Cuyuní River and
its coastal towns, where the United Kingdom marked Robert Shomburgk's illegal border line.
