So far in 2026, Venezuela has recovered 52% of its installed industrial capacity, which by 2019 did not exceed 9%, said the president in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez.
During the installation of the National Dialogue Table for labor and social consensus, the president pointed out the sanctions and the economic blockade imposed by the United States as primarily responsible for the deterioration of our economic, productive and commercial apparatus.
“Imagine a State that cannot have accounts abroad, a State whose accounts and assets abroad were blocked and stolen. A State that was excluded from the world's predominant economic, financial and commercial system. A State whose foreign exchange revenues fell by 99%,” he said.
In this regard, he pointed out that for the years 2020-2021 our country began a recovery process despite the economic blockade imposed. “Venezuela is sanctioned and blocked, that's a reality that hasn't changed,” he stressed.
In the same way, he emphasized that the installation of this dialogue table must serve to achieve lasting and sustainable solutions for the country's workers and employers.
