The first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello recalled that Commander Hugo Chávez was the first to dare to say that the discovery of America was a massacre, a genocide.

“He dared to tell the historical truth about how many original indigenous brothers they murdered. He was very consistent,” he said.

In that regard, he emphasized that Commander Chávez was “a great defender of what is ours, from Venezuelan music to our territory, ideas, our heroes, martyrs, of bringing them back to life.”

As an example, he mentioned that the leader of the Bolivarian Revolution began to name Ezequiel Zamora, “15 years later they named him (the Town) on the street; when he named Miranda, anyway.”

This was highlighted by Cabello during the broadcast of Episode No. 4 of “With Maduro Podcast”, hosted by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, held at the Army Military Academy.
