Esyenser Delgado and Juliangel Vargas win silver in beach volleyball at South American Santa Fe

The men's duo made up of Esyenser Delgado and Juliangel Vargas won silver medals in beach volleyball at the XIII South American Games Santa Fe 2026.
The Criollos won the silver after playing an intense final in which they fell 2-0 against the Brazilian couple formed by Arthur and Evandro.
In a duel that lasted 40 minutes of high intensity, the Amazonian team composed of Arthur Lanci and Evandro Junior managed to impose their pace of play to claim the commitment with sets of 21-15 in the first set and 21-17 in the second chapter.
Despite the constant efforts of the Venezuelan people, Brazil showed greater offensive effectiveness, completing 19 successful attacks out of 47 attempts against Venezuela's 16 41 times, in addition to taking a slight advantage in the net with 4 effective blocks against 3 of the Venezuelan duo, in a clash where both teams benefited from rival errors.
On the individual level, Delgado stood out as the main reference in the Venezuelan attack, recording a total of 14 points played, distributed over 12 attack points, 2 successful blocks and a successful defense on the court.
For his part, Vargas made a valuable contribution with 5 points played throughout the match, as a result of 4 attack points and a network blockade.
