FANB brings medical care to indigenous communities in the Amazon

Indigenous communities living in the Alto Orinoco municipality of the state of Amazonas receive medical care from the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) to guarantee the well-being of Indigenous Peoples.

This was reported by the Strategic Operational Commander of the FANB, G/J Domingo Hernández Lárez, who explained that this deployment is taking place in Operation Mist 2024, which the military institution is carrying out to combat illegal mining in these protected natural areas.

“Following instructions from our President and Commander in Chief, Nicolás Maduro, the FANB is deployed in Operation Mist 2024, guaranteeing national sovereignty and environmental rights in our territorial border areas located in the Alto Orinoco of the state of Amazonas,” said the senior military official.
