FANB destroyed illegal mining camp in Maroa municipality of Amazonas

The Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) located and destroyed a camp for illegal mining in the Maroa municipality of the state of Amazonas, reported the strategic operational commander of the FANB, G/J Domingo Hernández Lárez.

Through his X account, the senior military officer explained that this action was carried out within the framework of Operation Neblina 2024 carried out by the FANB to combat environmental depredation in protected areas.

“The establishment of open-pit mines or the exploitation of hydrocarbons in the Venezuelan Amazon will not be allowed,” Hernández Lárez emphasized.
