FANB destroyed mining ponds on the banks of the Cunucunuma River in the state of Amazonas

On the banks of the Cunucunuma River, located in the Duida Marahuaka Park in the state of Amazonas, members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) located and destroyed 8 mining rafts belonging to criminal groups dedicated to the depredation of the environment, reported the strategic operational commander of the FANB, G/J Domingo Hernández Lárez.
Through a message in his account X, the senior military officer indicated that, in addition, six camps used for housing and protecting logistical supplies for miners have been destroyed on the banks of the said river.
In this regard, he emphasized that this action is framed in Operation Bolivarian Shield “Neblina 2024” ordered by President Nicolás Maduro in fulfillment of the 5th historic objective of the Homeland Plan and the 7 T of transformation for Amazon protection.
“Venezuela is a territory of peace, the Venezuelan State will not allow the arbitrary permanence of illegal groups in Venezuelan territory or the indiscriminate and arbitrary depredation of the environment,” he said.
