FANB dismantled ten camps of armed groups on the border with Colombia

As part of Operation Bolivarian Shield 2025, the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) dismantled ten camps on the Colombian border of what it has called Armed Drug Trafficking Terrorists of Colombia ” (TANCOL), announced the head of the Strategic Operational Command (CEOFANB) G/J Domingo Hernández Lárez
The offensive of the armed institution in the service of the defense of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela is aimed at protecting national sovereignty along the 2,219 kilometers of border with the sister country of Colombia, Telesur details on its website.
So far in 2025, the FANB has carried out 167 operational deployments to ensure the defense of the territory. The authorities have been emphatic in their commitment to “raze and destroy” those who violate the border, reaffirming the protection of the country's freedom and institutions.
This, as part of Operation Lightning of Catatumbo, an offensive by the FANB in the state of Zulia to eradicate groups such as TANCOL, a key logistics center for drug trafficking was destroyed.
The operation was carried out by a Mixed Combat Rapid Response Unit (URRA), which located in the Guarrutain sector eight boats, 12 outboard engines, two motorbikes water pumps, 500 meters of hose, a power plant, a Starlink antenna and 10,000 liters of gasoline, all used for illegal activities.
