The Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, thanked the Minister in charge of Foreign Affairs of Uganda, Kyeyune Haruna Kasolo, for signing the Book of Condolences to honor those affected by the earthquakes that occurred last June 24 in Venezuela.
“The spirit of unity and compassion transcends borders. Venezuela and Africa will always be sister peoples,” Foreign Minister Gil said through his Telegram channel.
The Venezuelan diplomat also thanked the Foreign Minister of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, Mohamed Yeslem Beissat, for visiting the Venezuelan embassy and signing the Book of Condolences.
“This gesture of solidarity and fraternal support for our nation, at a time as painful as the one we are living after the earthquakes that have left a national mourning for the tragic loss of thousands of lives, is a testimony to the solidarity bond that unites our peoples,” Gil said of Beissat's gesture.
