Foreign Minister Yván Gil receives Style Copies from the designated ambassador of Kuwait

The Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, received this Monday the Style Copies of the newly appointed ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Fadel Haidar Saud Alhasan.

The protocol ceremony took place at the Casa Amarilla Antonio José de Sucre, in Caracas, where both diplomats “confirmed their desire to deepen bilateral relations in force since 1965 and continue strategic cooperation within OPEC and other multilateral organizations,” said the Venezuelan Foreign Minister in his account on the social network X.

He expressed solidarity with the Kuwaiti people over the physical departure of His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah. And, likewise, the proclamation of the nation's new Emir , His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, wishing him success.

Both nations established diplomatic relations 58 years ago, framed in brotherhood, friendship and solidarity, achieving the signing of agreements in economic, financial, commercial, energy, agriculture and air matters, in addition to the exploration of potential investments.

In June 2022, the president, Nicolás Maduro, visited Kuwait as part of the Eurasia Tour, where he held important meetings with Prime Minister Sabah Al Khlad Al Hamad Al Sabah; with the former foreign minister and president of the Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA), Sheikh Ahmed Nasser Al Mohammed Al Sabah; with the president of the National Assembly of Kuwait, Marzouq Ali Al Ghanim, and with the Secretary General of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, Haitham Faisal Al Ghais.
