Foreign ministers of Venezuela and Niger reaffirm historic ties of friendship and collaboration

The Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Yván Gil, held a telephone contact this Friday with his counterpart from Niger, Yaou Sangaré Bakary, to reaffirm the ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

Through his Telegram channel, Foreign Minister Gil said that he transmitted to his counterpart from the African country “the congratulations of the Venezuelan people and President Nicolás Maduro Moros on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of its Independence”.

“We have reaffirmed the historic ties of friendship and collaboration between our nations, as well as moving forward in the design of a concrete agenda of bilateral cooperation, with special emphasis on the strategic sectors of energy and hydrocarbons, mining and education,” he said.

In addition, both diplomats ratified their “commitment to strengthening relations between Venezuela and Niger, for the mutual benefit of our peoples.”
