This Monday, the governor of the state of Táchira, Freddy Bernal, participated during the mobilization of the Day of Dignity and the Bolivarian Militia and highlighted the capacity of the Venezuelan people to respond to the pretensions of economic and political sectors.
During his speech, Bernal recalled that at critical moments in recent history, Popular Will prevailed over the decisions of the elites: “He went out to rescue his dignity. Businessmen who believed that the decision of the leaders could go beyond the popular will of having Commander Hugo Chávez in charge,” he said and described popular resistance as an unprecedented event in the political history of nations.
Bernal emphasized the strength of the country's political conscience, stressing that the structure of the State remains firm despite what he denounced as a constant international siege.
In this regard, he added that 24 years after the historic events, the struggle continues for the return of President Nicolás Maduro and the first female fighter, Cilia Flores, whom he described as victims of an “imperialist and genocidal government”.
In this context, he highlighted the institutional functioning under the management of the president in charge, Delcy Rodríguez, assuring that the victorious route continues its course with the unrestricted support of the people in the street.
“Our weapons are these: women, men, children, militiamen; that is our powerful weapon,” Bernal said, calling for morality and action. He concluded his message by urging the militancy to keep their strength and spirits up, assuring that “this is not a time of sadness”, but rather of reaffirming Bolivarian ideology to demonstrate to the world Venezuela's unwavering commitment to its government and sovereignty.
