Friendship Group of the AN evaluates proposals for rapprochement with the European Union

The friendship group with the European Union (EU) of the National Assembly (AN) held this Tuesday the second evaluation meeting on proposals for rapprochement with the bloc, a meeting in which Jorge Valero, representative of Venezuela to the geopolitical association made up of 27 countries, based in Belgium, participated.

During the working day, Jorge Arreaza, president of this body, endorsed the proposal of the vice-president of the parliamentary group, deputy Ilenia Medina, to promote peace and political equality, highlighting Venezuela as a peace-promoting nation in the region.

In addition, he stressed that national union and peace are “a need to work with the world”. At the same time, he informed that the work project of this group of friendship with the EU will be distributed to the rest of the NA groups to express their contributions and evaluations.

The parliamentarian, as reported by the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN), confirmed that there are currently positive spaces to generate cooperative relations with the European Union, an opportunity for parliamentary, political and diplomatic union.

For his part, Ambassador Valero, stated that there are good conditions for maintaining relations with the EU, and also noted that Europe's interest in America increased positively, Arreaza said in a post through his Telegram channel.
