FUNDARTE invites you to participate in the contests of the Caracas International Tourist Carnivals

The Foundation for Culture and the Arts of Caracas (FUNDARTE) and the Tourism Institute of Caracas extended the invitation to participate in the different competitions that will be held within the framework of the Caracas International Tourism Carnivals 2024.

This was announced by the mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, who shared through the social network X, the bases of the following contests: Floats, troupes and traditional costumes.

According to the information shared by Meléndez, in the case of troupes, there must be at least 30 people per group, who must prepare to share at least a two-minute choreography in the parade, and will also be accompanied by a musical ensemble, among other details.

Also, for the floats, the vehicles must be appropriate and decorated for the occasion, and those who are going to be in the car must be properly disguised in the same style. While for individual costumes, there must be a maximum of three participants collectively, inspiration is free and originality will be taken into account by the judges when evaluating, the parades will be held on Monday 12 and Tuesday 13 February.

“From now on, we are getting ready for the Caracas Happy 2024 International Tourist Carnivals!” , highlighted Meléndez and called on those interested in participating in demonstrating their creativity.
