Head of State: Politicians of the Venezuelan oligarchy act as agents of Yankee imperialism

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, during the act of Notification to the National Executive of the new legislative period 2024-2025, reiterated that the Venezuelan oligarchy and its political parties allied to North American imperialism tried to assault political power in Venezuela through the economic and social destruction of the country.

“They are the ones who put these scorched earth theses into vogue, the Borges, the Machados, the López, the Capriles who have acted and act as agents of imperial governments to lay their hands on political power and impose American economic, political and military interests,” said the head of state.

He regretted that these political representatives do not work to achieve a climate of reconciliation, of brotherhood among Venezuelans, but that they remain committed to assuming the manuals for the destruction of the American empire, which involve ending the economy, leading to famine and collapse of the country and then trying to present themselves as the saviors of the Homeland.

Faced with this scenario, he advocated that in our country “a new opposition should emerge that is truly married to the values of the Constitution of 1999, and that is sovereign and independent of foreign offices”.

The President highlighted the role of revolutionaries “in defending the values and conviction of freedom, of true, participatory and leading democracy”.

In this scenario, he urged that “never again should political power be used in Venezuela to hand over national interests to a vile, cowardly, imperialist foreigner to kick the constitutional rights of the people.”
