A total of 1,000 students and workers from the José Tadeo Arreaza Calatrava Educational Unit in Barcelona were treated through the Health Goes to School” program , the government reported.

According to the information, the Single Health Authority of the entity, Liafran Figueredo, and the Regional Director of Public Health, Francisco Navarro, led the activity that offered dental care, general medical evaluation, mental health, endocrinometabolic, deworming, as well as vaccination against immunopreventable diseases.

In addition, the health teams provided educational sessions for the prevention of diseases and pregnancy in adolescents, aimed not only at girls and boys but also at the teaching, administrative and labor staff of the campus.

It should be noted that prior to the day, the fumigation and abatement of the school was carried out, an action that is part of the program and is carried out with the purpose of preventing the proliferation of mosquitoes and therefore preventing metaxenic diseases.
