In Amazonas! FANB apprehended 9 miners and destroyed illegal camp

Members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) apprehended, in the state of Amazonas, 9 citizens who were engaged in illegal mining in natural areas protected by our legislation, reported the Strategic Operational Commander of the FANB, G/J Domingo Hernández Lárez.

The senior military official reported that these people were detected in a mining camp consisting of 16 improvised housing structures and logistic warehouses for supplies needed for illegal mining.

Those captured were identified as: Ekerlys Moisés Montilla; Nadil Ramón Figueroa Soublette; Rebeca López Pérez; Carmen Eufemia Cedeño López; Julio César Gutiérrez Barreto; Andrew José Figueroa Soublette; Derwin Joseph Odremán Gómez; José Guillermo Tovar; Carlos José Pompa Cedeño.
