In response to the UK's provocation! Venezuela activates military operation on the Atlantic façade

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, ordered the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) to activate a joint action on our Atlantic façade for the Eastern Caribbean, to guarantee the defense of our sovereignty against the threats of the United Kingdom against our homeland.

During the farewell ceremony at the end of the year to the FANB, the head of state explained that this operational deployment constitutes a proportional response to the decision of the Guyanese government to accept in pending waters to delimit a British Navy warship.

“This deployment of a warship from the decaying British Empire is a break with Argyle's agreements, the spirit of dialogue and peace diplomacy,” he said.

In the same way, the commander in chief of the FANB, explained that Venezuela reserves the right to exercise any diplomatic and political action that may result from this action of the United Kingdom and Guyana.

“This threat is unacceptable to any country. We have taken a step in its first phase, our FANB, united, has taken a step. We don't mess with anyone but no one is going to come and mislead Venezuela,” he emphasized.
