Solidarity with the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela on the part of heads of states and world leaders continues after the earthquakes that occurred this Wednesday, June 24, in the country, which caused human losses and serious damage to infrastructure.

In this regard, the president in charge Delcy Rodríguez thanked the Islamic Republic of Iran and its president, Masoud Pezeshkian, for the solidarity shown in the face of the catastrophe. “Venezuela gratefully receives this fraternal gesture from the Iranian government and people,” he said on his social networks.

Meanwhile, the Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, thanked the Department of International Relations and Cooperation of South Africa for conveying his condolences to the victims of the tragedy affecting the Bolivarian nation.

The Venezuelan Foreign Minister also received a call from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brazil, Mauro Vieira, in which he spoke about the serious situation in Venezuela. “We sincerely appreciate the message of solidarity and support sent to us by the Government of Brazil in these difficult times,” he said.

He also held a phone call with Nigeria's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, who conveyed her condolences and words of encouragement to the Venezuelan people, “who are working tirelessly for life after the recent tragedy. We express our deep gratitude for your call and for this valuable gesture of international solidarity,” he said.

On the other hand, Gil thanked “the heartfelt message of support from the Haitian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Raina Forbin, in solidarity with the victims of the serious earthquakes that affected us. With this gesture, we reaffirm our historic bonds of friendship and sincerely thank you for your concern and support.”
